How do i set up an Optoma GT720 projector with the PS3 so it outputs 3d?

i just recently purchased an optoma gt720 3d ready projector, and with the new PS3 firmware update to output certain games and demos in 3d, how do i set up the projector to sync with the ps3 to output 3d images, because ive tried turning the 3d on witht the projector and it didnt work.
