The P200-2 amp a good choice for two 12' alpine type R's both 4ohm?

I plan on getting a 2 channel amp, and I was wondering if the rockford P200-2 would be a good amp for my two 12's? And would it be running 600watts to each sub? Or would it be putting out 300 watts to each sub because the type R's are 4ohm and not 2ohm? I need some help. thanks
