How can the ignition timing of a 1978 dt250 be set?

my 78 dt250 is running a bit rough, and since its a points model i thought id better adjust the timing correctly. (i havent had this bike for very long) Any thoughts/instructions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated

how well would putting a yamaha dt250 dirtbike motor on a go cart work?

i might be putting a 1970's yamaha dt 250 dirtbike motor on an offroad go cart...anyone have any thoughts on how it would be for power, speed, acceleration...? it will be a smaller cart..around 200 pounds or so...

Just got the bike used. Nice, but no torque/power. There is no way to adjust timing, only point gap, right? Or is there a way and I just don't know how to do it?? I had heard that points being worn would make the timing off. Please help.
