What would be a better TV to get: A 37" Dynex 1080p or a 40" Apex 1080p?

The Apex is 30 dollars more than the Dynex is, and the Dynex has 5 ms response time whereas the Apex only has a 7 ms response time. Is the slower response time and 30 more dollars worth the extra three inches on the screen?

At Best Buy, a 37" Dynex Tv was $549. When the clerk added up everything else, total was 959. What gives? ?

Basically, the TV's audio and video work great on all settings except when something is hooked up through the HDMI in.
