I plan on buying a Insignia® - 42" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV , I wanted to know if this will be to big?

Will this TV be to big for my bedroom? I made a guess measurement and I will be sitting at least 7-8ft away from the TV. I know the recommended is 10ft but 7 or 8ft is pretty close to 10ft. Thanks
