How to tune a sky+ remote to a 37" LG Scarlet TV?

I have been trying all day to tune in my Sky+ remote to my LG Scarlet 37" tv andI cant seem to get it to work. I have tried the manufacturer codes, but none of them seem, to work. I might just not be doing right. Anyone know specific instructions to tuning a Sky+ remote? Thank you for the help.
